A Lifetime of Wilderness Survival Lessons
I was born and raised in Wyoming in the shadow of The Rockies in a rather isolated town where the forests were my playground. My father and I spent most of our free time hunting, fishing, and camping, he taught me all I know about survival skills and how to live off the land. Being in a remote area, it wasn’t uncommon for a snowstorm or the like to cut us off from food and resources. This taught my family and me a great life lesson that you need to be prepared for all life can throw at you if you want to survive. I was brought up with my mother telling me “Be kind, help your neighbors and you’ll have a blessed life”, words that I now live by.
